Serving Those Who Served

Have you or a loved one served in the military? Thank you for your service to our country – now it’s on us to serve you.

The SSG Fox Grant provides case management for active-duty service members, Veterans and their families. Lean on our staff of Veteran case managers to connect you to benefits and resources in Rhode Island.

Individuals meeting certain requirements who are fully enrolled in the program may be eligible for funding towards childcare expenses, transportation, expenses associated with employment, and firearm storage.

For more information, visit health.ri.gov/helpforvets.  All services are free and confidential.

Are you a Veteran in crisis or concerned about one?

You’re not alone—the Veterans Crisis Line is here for you.

If you or a loved one need support now, caring counselors at the 988 Lifeline are available 24/7/365. Call 988 and press 1 for Veterans, or text 988. You don’t have to be enrolled in VA benefits or health care to call.

Rhode Island Hope

Service members, veterans, and their families in Rhode Island have hope and support to cope with the stresses and trauma associated with their service. Given the higher risk of suicide among service members and veterans, it’s crucial to provide ongoing support during and after their service.
