Rockies DFA C Austin Nola, recall RHP Chase Dollander

The Colorado Rockies designated catcher Austin Nola for assignment prior to Monday night’s contest against the host St. Louis Cardinals.
The Rockies also recalled rookie right-hander Chase Dollander from Triple-A Albuquerque. Dollander is starting the Monday contest.
Nola, 35, was batting just .184 (7-for-38) with one RBI in 14 games for the Rockies.
Overall, he has a .247 career average with 24 homers and 137 RBIs in 359 career games for the Seattle Mariners (2019-20), San Diego Padres (2020-23) and Rockies (2025).
Dollander, 23, will be making his first big league start since July 6.
The rookie is one of the Rockies’ top prospects after being selected in the first round (No. 9 overall) in the 2023 draft out of Tennessee.
He is 2-9 with a 6.68 ERA in 15 starts for Colorado.
